Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Vigenfy ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our Shopify application ("Service") and our website at https://vigenfy.com.

We keep this simple: the Service sets a single cookie of its own, and it does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The only similar technology is described under "Error tracking" below.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit websites or use applications. They let a site remember information between page loads, such as your language preference.

Cookies We Use

1. Strictly Necessary

Vigenfy runs embedded inside the Shopify admin. Authentication uses Shopify session tokens that are passed with each request; Vigenfy itself does not set an authentication cookie. Shopify sets its own cookies for the admin session (see "Third-Party Cookies" below).

Why this is necessary: it mirrors the language saved in your Vigenfy settings so that pages render in it immediately. Without it the app still uses the language saved in your settings, or English.

All other preferences (watermark, app language, notification read status) are stored in our database against your store record, not in cookies.

2. Functional, Analytics and Marketing Cookies

We do not use any. There are no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies on the Service or on https://vigenfy.com.

3. Error tracking (no cookies)

Our error-tracking provider (Sentry) receives error reports from the app and records a masked replay of about 10 % of sessions to help us reproduce bugs; all text is masked. It does not set cookies, but it keeps a replay session identifier in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.

If we add such cookies in the future we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Third-Party Cookies

Shopify

Because the app runs inside the Shopify admin, Shopify's own cookies are present on the page. They are set and controlled by Shopify for admin authentication and security. See https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.

Cloudflare

Our domains are served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set security cookies such as __cf_bm (bot protection, 30 minutes) or cf_clearance (after a security challenge). These are required for protection against abuse and cannot be disabled by us. See https://www.cloudflare.com/cookie-policy/.

Website resources

The marketing site at https://vigenfy.com loads fonts and scripts from Google Fonts, the Tailwind CSS CDN and unpkg. These requests do not set cookies, but the providers may log the request (including your IP address) in accordance with their own policies.

Managing Cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking the lng cookie only affects the remembered language. Blocking Shopify's or Cloudflare's cookies may prevent the Shopify admin, and therefore the app, from loading.

Do Not Track

We do not track you across websites, so there is nothing to disable. The Service behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

International Data Transfers

The lng cookie is only read by our server in Germany (EU). Cloudflare processes requests through its global network under its EU data protection commitments. Shopify's cookies are governed by Shopify's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Vigenfy is intended for business users and not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy when the Service changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be announced inside the app.
